Romans 15:13
Who We Are
What to Expect
Hope Church is a church plant from Bethel Church Carmarthen. Our journey started in July 2022 when Pastor Tim Howells started exploring opportunities to reach out into Newcastle Emlyn. We started meeting as a small group every other Sunday, meeting to pray for Newcastle Emlyn and hear from God as to his plans for the town.
Over time this developed into meetings of prayer and praise in town and also sharing breakfast together to grow relationship. In September 2024 the small group which had grown to about 20 people local to Newcastle Emlyn was commissioned from Bethel to start Hope Church on a full time basis. We now meet every Sunday and are serving God to fulfil the mission for Newcastle Emlyn that He has placed in our hearts.
Hope Church currently comes under the care and support of Bethel Church Carmarthen and Pastor Tim Howells. We stay connected with Bethel through our weekly joint prayer meetings, using members of Bethel to speak and lead at our gatherings, having termly joint celebration services and coming together for a fun joint summer social. Our vision for Hope Church is to create something that engages people throughout the week and across the Sundays of the month.
Our plan is to include different gatherings across the month, seeking to provide different experiences of worship; different opportunities for prayer; opportunities for Bible teaching but also chance to unpack that teaching; messages of encouragement and inspiration with life application; opportunities for relationships to grow in large groups but also in smaller groups and also opportunities for service, giving and development.
